    I promised myself that I would be different than my parents. Yet, here I am yelling at my kids, and doing exactly what I never wanted to do. Why is that?

  2. I think you repeat the behavior you saw your parents do because it is familiar to you. Only recently, have we really come to understand that intimidation and corporal punishment hurt a child’s self-esteem.
